What is the Cycles of Gaia
Educator Webinar?

This 60-minute Educator Webinar is designed specifically for K–12 educators, instructional leaders, and curriculum developers seeking robust, standards-aligned tools for integrating ecological literacy into the classroom. We’ll explore how the Cycles of Gaia toolkit supports NGSS performance expectations while offering low-prep, classroom-ready science content focused on local ecosystems and seasonal change.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Incorporate full-year phenology tracking and field data into your science units
  • Use the ecological wall calendar as a shared visual anchor for systems thinking
  • Apply rubrics and data sheets that support evidence-based assessment
  • Navigate our modular lesson packets for Grades K–12

Whether you're currently implementing environmental content or just beginning, this session will walk you through practical classroom integration with room for Q&A.

What You’ll See in the Town Hall

  • Overview of Cycles of Gaia materials
  • Walkthrough of sample lessons for grades K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12
  • Orientation to the full-year ecological calendar
  • NGSS alignment review
  • Assessment and classroom implementation strategies
  • Q&A with the curriculum team
